Return Policy

Every kitten from Sarasota Savannahs is health-tested, vet-checked, and raised with love in our home. Adopting a living animal is a serious, lifelong commitment — not a typical retail purchase. Please read this policy carefully before you reserve a kitten, so you fully understand the limited circumstances in which a return or refund is possible.
1. Returns Are Accepted Only Under Special Conditions
We accept returns or issue refunds only in the following situations:
- Serious Health Issue — a licensed veterinarian diagnoses a serious congenital or genetic condition within fourteen (14) days of delivery or pickup, supported by an official, signed veterinary certificate.
- Misrepresentation — the kitten substantially differs from the description provided at the time of reservation (for example, in generation, gender, or documented health status).
- Travel / Arrival Problem — the kitten cannot be safely delivered due to our fault, or its arrival is materially compromised due to circumstances outside the buyer's control.
2. Returns Will NOT Be Accepted For
We are unable to accept returns or issue refunds in the following situations:
- Change of mind — once adopted, the kitten is part of your family.
- Family, lifestyle, or housing changes after adoption.
- Allergies discovered after adoption. We strongly recommend allergy testing for all household members BEFORE reserving a kitten.
- Behavior issues arising from the new environment or a normal adjustment period.
- Natural cosmetic variation — markings, coat color, or pattern that fall within the normal range for the breed.
- Any request made after fourteen (14) days from delivery or pickup.
3. Deposits
Deposits are non-refundable, except where we cancel the reservation or are unable to deliver the kitten. At our discretion, a deposit may be transferred to another available kitten.
4. How to Request a Return
To request a return, email us at info@sarasotasavannahs.org within fourteen (14) days of delivery or pickup, and include:
- Your order number;
- Any supporting veterinary documentation;
- Clear photographs; and
- A written explanation of the issue.
We will respond within three (3) business days. If your request is approved, you must return the kitten to us within seven (7) days, in the same condition in which it was received.
5. Refunds
Approved refunds are processed within fourteen (14) business days of our receiving the returned kitten. The refund amount equals the purchase price minus the deposit. Shipping and travel fees are non-refundable.
6. Buyer Responsibilities
- Schedule a veterinary examination within seventy-two (72) hours of delivery or pickup (strongly recommended).
- Provide proper care, food, shelter, and a safe environment for the kitten during any evaluation period.
- Keep all documentation, including the sales agreement, health records, and veterinary reports.
